We recently carried out a horizon scanning project for a consortium of food companies, designed to identify future trends that might lead to new market opportunities or competitive threats for the sector. The scans were customised for each client and used to stimulate discussions on new product development.
We are currently working with the Environment Research Funders Forum (ERFF) on a horizon scanning study designed to identify the most important dimensions of uncertainty for the environment that may impact on the UK in the next 20 years. The dimensions of uncertainty will provide ERFF members with a shared view of the future and will guide the identification of UK environmental priorities.
